Lithuanian party leader feels responsible for future reforms

Vilija Blinkevičiūtė, leader of the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party (LSDP), has stated she feels a sense of responsibility for the party's future direction, particularly concerning ongoing changes. As the initiator of these reforms, Blinkevičiūtė acknowledged her role as party leader in ensuring their successful implementation.

"I am the initiator of the changes that have occurred today. Of course, as the party leader, I feel my responsibility," Blinkevičiūtė told journalists after an LSDP council meeting. She emphasized that it would be unusual for a leader who proposed a plan to disavow responsibility for its execution.
