Lithuanian U16 Basketball Team Roster Announced, Includes Jasikevičius Nephew

The Lithuanian U16 men's basketball team is set to compete in the European Championship in Romania from August 7-15. Head coach Dovydas Petraitis has finalized the 12-player roster, expressing optimism about the team's readiness.

"We have had a good preparation. We played two high-level tournaments, tested different tactical solutions, lineups, and player roles," Petraitis stated. "We had a few injuries that adjusted the preparation and the final roster formation. I want to thank all the players for their hard work, dedication, and effort in training. We are heading to the European Championship motivated and believing in our chances. I believe in this team – we will give our all in every game."

The squad features Danielius Jasikevičius, the son of Vytenis Jasikevičius and nephew of renowned coach Šarūnas Jasikevičius. The Lithuanian team will compete in Group A, facing Serbia, Poland, and host Romania in the preliminary round. Other groups include strong contenders like Turkey, Italy, Israel, Spain, Germany, and France.
