Little Farmers Agriculture Academy Opens Doors in Muğla

Muğla Metropolitan Municipality has opened the doors to its "Little Farmers Agriculture Academy," a four-week educational program designed to immerse children in the worlds of agriculture, nature, and production. Through engaging, hands-on activities, the academy provides young participants with a unique opportunity to learn about farming processes while simultaneously experiencing the value of production from an early age.

Children's connection with nature at an early age is one of the most valuable investments in the future. Our common goal should be for our children to grow up as individuals who love nature, are productive, and are responsible towards their environment.

The inaugural session of the academy took place at the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Local Seed Center. Here, children had the chance to get their hands dirty, planting their own flowers and learning the fundamental stages of plant cultivation. By interacting directly with the soil, planting seedlings, and acquiring basic knowledge of plant care, the children experienced the production cycle firsthand, fostering a strong connection with nature.

Over the next four weeks, the academy will continue to offer age-appropriate, practical training on topics such as plant cultivation, the importance of local seeds, environmental consciousness, and sustainable agriculture. The program's nature-focused activities are designed to help children cultivate values like productivity, responsibility, and environmental sensitivity early in life.
