Los Angeles Lakers Add Analyst Ahead of NBA Draft

While much attention in the North American NBA focuses on Giannis Antetokounmpo's potential move from Milwaukee and the upcoming draft, the Los Angeles Lakers are quietly making moves. The team announced the addition of Dominic Samangy as a basketball analyst, who has confirmed his relocation to California.

Samangy expressed his honor in joining the Lakers, thanking coach Redick, the coaching staff, and management for their trust. He most recently served with the New Orleans Pelicans, where he assisted the coaching staff during games and led analytical projects. His responsibilities included preparing scouting reports on opponents and player development.

In late May, the Lakers also brought in Rohan Ramadas from Louisiana as a new assistant general manager and president of basketball operations for Rob Pelinka. Ramadas will focus on analytics as Pelinka's assistant. The team is still searching for another assistant general manager to oversee the draft, talent identification, and player development.

American media anticipate that the Los Angeles team will select a center during the draft to support Slovenian star Luka Dončić.
