Los Pynandi Prepare for the U20 Sudamericano in Lima

The Paraguayan U20 beach soccer team, known as Los Pynandi, is stepping up its preparations for the South American Championship set to take place in Lima, Peru. The team is focused on defending the title they clinched in Chile in 2023, where they remained undefeated throughout the tournament.

Under the guidance of coach Carlos Rojas, a squad of 18 athletes has been undergoing rigorous technical, tactical, physical, and psychological training since last month. The team faces a tough challenge in Group B, where they will compete against favorites Brazil, as well as Uruguay, Ecuador, and Bolivia.

The Copa América U20 will be held from August 22 to 30. This tournament is a crucial event for the young "Albirroja" squad as they aim to uphold Paraguay's strong tradition in beach soccer and represent the country with distinction on the continental stage. The team's previous success, including winning the championship undefeated, sets a high bar for their performance in Lima.
