Lotte Chemical Introduces Petrochemical Industry to UI Students

PT Lotte Chemical Indonesia (LCI) recently welcomed 50 chemical engineering students from Universitas Indonesia's American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AiChE UI) chapter for an industrial visit to its Cilegon facility in Banten.

The company visit provided students with firsthand experience of the petrochemical industry's operational environment. It offered insights into production processes, workplace safety protocols, and the overall management of a large-scale industrial operation. Such practical exposure is considered vital for engineering students preparing to enter the workforce.

During the visit, students engaged in introductory sessions about LCI, participated in interactive discussions with company representatives, and toured the facility. This allowed them to observe the daily operations and understand the application of chemical engineering principles in a real-world industrial setting.
