Online commenters condemned the act as unhygienic and questioned food safety standards. Some users noted that the employee on the left appeared to be engaged to the store manager, based on other content from the account, adding a layer of speculation to the incident. The original video has since been deleted, and the Douyin account is no longer searchable. When contacted, an employee at the store stated they could not verify the situation. Luckin Coffee's official customer service acknowledged the incident and promised to escalate it to management for investigation and potential disciplinary action.
