Magnitude 5.2 earthquake strikes southern Spain

A moderate earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 shook southern Spain early Saturday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). The tremor's epicenter was registered one kilometer southwest of Otura, a municipality near the city of Granada, at a depth of 10 kilometers.

Seismologists are currently reviewing the available data, and the reported magnitude may be subject to revision.
