Major Fire Erupts in Bucharest Apartment Block; Residents Evacuated, Several Hospitalized

A significant fire erupted Saturday evening in a third-floor apartment on Radovanu Street in Bucharest's Sector 2, prompting an urgent response from multiple fire and ambulance crews. The blaze quickly caused panic among residents, who were preemptively evacuated from the building as flames threatened to engulf their homes.

Firefighters were engaged in a strenuous effort to control and extinguish the fire, working to prevent it from spreading to adjacent apartments and nearby structures. The intensity of the fire and the resulting smoke created a dangerous situation for those inside the building.

Emergency medical services were on the scene, providing immediate care to those affected. In total, six individuals received medical attention at the site. Three of these individuals were subsequently transported to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment due to smoke inhalation, a common and serious consequence of such fires.
