Major General To Anh Dung appointed Chairman of Thanh Hoa Province

Major General To Anh Dung has been appointed as the Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, following his recent selection as Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. The election by the Provincial People's Council on July 27 solidifies his leadership role in the province.

Thanh Hóa is a locality with a large population, a wide area, many potentials and advantages, and a particularly important strategic position for the North Central region and the whole country. This is both an advantage and poses very high requirements for the provincial leadership team in the new development phase.

Previously, To Anh Dung held significant positions, including Director of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police and Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee. His appointment as Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term was officially approved by the Secretariat of the Central Committee.

Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Secretary of the Central Committee and Head of the Organization Committee of the Central Committee, highlighted Thanh Hoa's strategic importance due to its large population, extensive area, and significant potential. He emphasized the high demands placed on the provincial leadership team during this new development phase.

Ngoc described To Anh Dung as a well-trained official with extensive experience in the People's Public Security force. He noted Dung's strong political resolve, scientific work methods, decisive approach, and consistent success in fulfilling his duties. Ngoc urged the provincial leadership and government to support Dung and the collective leadership in achieving their goals, focusing on building an efficient political system, developing cadre teams, and enhancing administrative reform and digital transformation.
