Malaysia Boosts Air Force Capabilities for National Defence

The Ministry of Defence (Mindef) is actively working to bolster the capabilities and readiness of the Royal Malaysian Air Force (TUDM). This strategic effort focuses on developing assets, advancing technology, and nurturing human capital to ensure TUDM remains a formidable force in defending the country's airspace.

TUDM plays a vital role in ensuring the safety of the nation's airspace and supporting various operations to defend the country's interests and sovereignty.

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin emphasized the importance of these enhancements. He stated that these measures are crucial for TUDM to stay relevant and effectively address contemporary challenges and national defence needs. Over its 68-year history, TUDM has consistently upheld its duty to protect Malaysia's sovereignty with professionalism, courage, and dedication.

He reiterated Mindef's commitment to continuously strengthening TUDM's capabilities across all fronts to maintain the highest level of preparedness.
