Malaysian Fire Dept strengthens operational assets to face Super El Nino

The Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) is taking proactive measures to bolster its operational assets in anticipation of the Super El Nino phenomenon. The department is speeding up the deployment of its fire engines and light four-wheel-drive utility vehicles, essential for various operational needs.

JBPM Director-General Datuk Seri Nor Hisham Mohammad stated that these preparations are a key part of the department's readiness strategy. The move comes in response to forecasts predicting the Super El Nino in the Pacific region towards the end of the year. The department aims to ensure its resources are strategically positioned and readily available to address potential challenges arising from prolonged hot weather.
