Malaysian NGO Criticizes Health Ministry's Vape Regulation Appeal

The Malaysian NGO MyWatch has voiced strong disapproval of the Health Ministry's decision to appeal a High Court ruling concerning the regulation of vape liquids and gels. MyWatch, an organization focused on tobacco control and health, stated its disappointment with the Ministry's move to challenge the court's decision.

The High Court had previously ruled that liquid and gel nicotine used in vaping products should be exempted from the Poisons Act. MyWatch President Roslizawati Ali indicated that this court decision was a crucial opportunity for the government to address the regulatory framework for vaping products.
