Man accused of killing nephew after dispute over sneakers

A family dispute over what may have been a pair of sneakers or a request for food escalated into a fatal stabbing early Saturday in Moca, Dominican Republic. Javier Camacho Lizardo, 26, known as "Nano," died after receiving a stab wound during an argument with his uncle, Francisco Lizardo, 39.

The incident occurred around 2 a.m. in the La Española neighborhood. While one account suggests the conflict began over sneakers, another points to a disagreement after Javier asked his grandmother to heat up his food. The argument turned violent, resulting in Javier sustaining critical injuries from a stab wound.
