Man arrested for allegedly attacking wife with knife in Apodaca, Mexico

Authorities in Apodaca, Nuevo León, have arrested a 50-year-old man suspected of brutally attacking his wife with a knife. The incident occurred early Thursday morning in the Milenium Residencial neighborhood.

The victim, identified as 46-year-old Evangelina, reportedly sustained multiple injuries during the assault. Police reports detail lacerations on her head and face, including a 10-centimeter wound on her chin and an 8-centimeter wound on her forehead, along with injuries to the left parietal region and lobe.

Emergency medical technicians responded to the scene and provided initial treatment before transporting Evangelina to a local hospital for further medical attention. During the intervention, officers discovered a kitchen knife, approximately 20 centimeters long, bearing what appeared to be bloodstains, in one of the bedrooms.

The alleged assailant, identified as Alfonso N., was apprehended by officers from the Apodaca Proximity Guard and has been handed over to the Public Ministry for further legal proceedings.
