Man arrested for entering women's restroom in fishnet stockings; 'masked naked man' also sought

Police in Seoul's Seodaemun District have arrested a man in his 40s on suspicion of entering a women's restroom while wearing only fishnet stockings. The incident occurred on August 21st around 7:30 PM in a commercial building in Hongje-dong.

The suspect, identified as Mr. A, allegedly entered the women's restroom. When a woman inside discovered him and attempted to report him, he fled into the men's restroom, changed his clothes, and escaped the building. Police were able to identify and apprehend Mr. A within approximately one hour of the report, using surveillance camera footage and photographs provided by the witness.

Authorities plan to question Mr. A to determine his motive and the specific details of the incident. This arrest follows a series of concerning reports in the same Seodaemun District involving a "masked naked man" who has been sighted on three separate occasions near Yonsei University over the past two months.

The earlier incidents include a report of indecent assault near a dormitory on June 12th, a sighting of a naked man hiding in bushes along the Ansan trail on July 21st, and another alleged indecent assault by a masked naked man near the Muak dormitory on August 19th. Police are investigating whether these three incidents are connected and are analyzing CCTV footage and DNA evidence.
