Man Arrested in Greece with Over 1.2 Kilograms of Cocaine

A 25-year-old foreign national was arrested in the Attica region of Greece for possession and distribution of narcotics, according to the Hellenic Police.

The arrest occurred on Saturday afternoon following targeted police operations. A case file was compiled against the suspect for drug trafficking offenses. Authorities utilized intelligence gathering, extensive investigations, and profiling to confirm his criminal activities.

During a search of the suspect's home, officers discovered and confiscated a package containing 1,180 grams of cocaine. An additional 106 grams of the same substance were found in three separate nylon packages. In total, 1,286 grams of cocaine were seized, along with 170 euros in cash, a mobile phone, two precision electronic scales, and a motorcycle.

It was also revealed that the suspect had a prior record with the authorities for other offenses. Furthermore, an active arrest warrant was pending against him from investigative authorities for attempted robbery and extortion. The arrested individual has been handed over to the competent judicial authorities.
