Man charged with impaired driving after crashing into Saskatoon building

Saskatoon police have charged a 36-year-old man with impaired driving and other offenses after he allegedly drove a vehicle into a building on Wednesday evening. The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. in the 3900 block of 8th Street East.

Officers were responding to a report of an impaired driver when they approached the suspect's vehicle. According to a police news release, the man then allegedly accelerated and drove into a building. Following the incident, police arrested the man.

Authorities stated that the suspect appeared intoxicated and refused to provide a breath sample. He faces multiple charges, including impaired driving, refusal to comply with a demand, driving while prohibited, and breaching court-imposed conditions.
