Man Detained After Firing Airsoft Gun at Parents Over Children's Game

A disturbing incident in Constanța has led to the detention of a 52-year-old man who allegedly fired an airsoft gun at parents during a dispute over children playing with a ball. The man, reportedly angered by the noise, escalated a verbal argument into a physical altercation and then resorted to using the airsoft weapon, firing pellets that struck two fathers. This act of aggression, while involving a non-lethal weapon, has understandably caused distress and required one victim to seek hospital treatment.

The Constanța County Police Inspectorate confirmed the details, stating that the man not only threatened the parents but also engaged in a physical confrontation and damaged the windshield of one of the parents' cars before firing the airsoft gun. The victims, aged 36 and 38, were hit by the pellets. From the investigations carried out by the police, it emerged that on May 14, the person in question, on the grounds of a conflict generated by 2 minors who were allegedly playing with a ball near his yard, got into an argument with the children's parents, threatened them and they physically assaulted each other, and subsequently destroyed the windshield of one of the parents' cars.

The aggressor has been detained for 24 hours and will face prosecutors to determine further preventive measures.
