Man detained in Tokmok after domestic violence complaint

Authorities in Tokmok are investigating a domestic violence case after a 27-year-old woman sustained injuries from an assault by her husband. The incident reportedly occurred on July 10, when the man, identified as A.S., struck his wife, A.A., with a teacup.

While the victim initially informed the police that she had no complaints against her husband, a protective order was issued in accordance with legal requirements. However, the situation escalated when a relative of the woman subsequently approached the police with a statement detailing the alleged violence.

Based on the gathered evidence, a report was filed against A.S. under the "Family Violence" article of the law. He has since been placed in a temporary detention facility. A forensic medical examination has been ordered, and further investigations are underway to establish all the circumstances surrounding the incident. This case comes after relatives of the 27-year-old Tokmok resident publicly claimed on social media that she had been subjected to domestic violence by her husband for several years. They also stated that she is raising four children and is currently pregnant with their fifth.
