Man dies after falling down cliff in hazelnut orchard

A tragic accident in Turkey's Çanakçı district has claimed the life of 32-year-old Emre Gül. The incident occurred in the Bakımlı village within the hazelnut orchards, a common setting for agricultural work in the region.

According to initial reports, Gül was carrying a sack in the orchard when he lost his footing and tumbled down a steep cliff. The fall proved fatal.

Eyewitnesses or bystanders alerted the authorities, prompting a swift response from emergency services. Teams from 112 Acil Sağlık (Emergency Health), UMKE (National Medical Rescue Team), firefighters, and the gendarmerie were dispatched to the location.

Upon arrival, medical personnel and rescue teams assessed the situation and confirmed that Emre Gül had tragically passed away. His body was subsequently transported to the Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy and further examination.

Adding to the sorrow of the incident, it was learned that Emre Gül was the sole son of his family. In a testament to his character, he had also recently donated one of his kidneys to his father, highlighting a deep familial bond and a selfless act of love.
