Man Dies After Hanging Himself in Village Garden

A 26-year-old man died in the hospital after being found hanging from a tree in his garden in the Cambazlı village of Alaplı district, Zonguldak. The incident occurred around 7:30 AM.

Villagers discovered O.A. hanging in the garden and immediately alerted health and gendarmerie teams. Paramedics provided initial treatment at the scene, and he was then transported to Alaplı State Hospital. Despite the efforts of doctors, O.A. succumbed to his injuries.

An examination of the scene revealed that O.A. had attempted to hang himself using garden hoses, some of which had broken and fallen to the ground. He was reportedly experiencing psychological issues for a long time, lived alone in the village, and worked in construction outside the province. He had returned to his village for the Kurban Bayram holiday.

The gendarmerie has launched an investigation into the incident.
