Man found near death in forest, suspected buffalo attack

A man in Vietnam was discovered in a critical state within a forest, suffering from numerous injuries and a high fever, prompting a swift medical response.

H.V.D., a 44-year-old resident of Tăng Cô Hang village in Lìa commune, Quảng Trị province, was found unconscious and severely wounded on August 10. He had been reported missing by his family after failing to return from work in the melaleuca forest on August 7.

Local residents and authorities organized a search for the missing man. On the morning of August 10, they located him lying in the forest, exhibiting signs of a serious struggle. The presence of buffalo footprints in the vicinity led to the suspicion that he may have been attacked by a buffalo.

Following his discovery, local officials arranged for an ambulance to transport Mr. D. out of the forest and to Quảng Trị Provincial General Hospital for urgent medical treatment. His family believes a buffalo attack during his work in the forest is the likely cause of his injuries. He is currently under medical care and observation.
