Man rescued after jumping from Plateau bridge

A dramatic rescue unfolded on Friday when a middle-aged man was saved after reportedly jumping from the British American Bridge in Jos North Local Government Area, Plateau State. The incident occurred around 1 p.m., drawing the attention of commuters and residents who swiftly intervened.

Eyewitnesses described the shock of the event. Mr. Dalyop Gyang, who was passing by, recounted how people raised the alarm and worked together to rescue the man. "The rescue operation was carried out quickly by people around the bridge, who worked together to get the man out of the water," Gyang stated.

The man appeared to have sustained injuries and required immediate medical attention. He was subsequently transported to a hospital. Another eyewitness, Mercy John, noted that security personnel arrived at the scene after the incident.
