Man's body found at Dublin recycling centre, investigation launched

An investigation is underway after the body of Andrew Haire, 35, was discovered at a recycling facility in Clondalkin, Dublin 22, on Friday evening. Gardaí have named the man, who was known to be using welfare and homeless services in Dublin and Cork city centres. His body was removed from the scene after the Office of the Chief State Pathologist and the Garda National Technical Bureau were notified. A post-mortem examination has been conducted, but the results will not be released for operational reasons. A senior investigating officer has been appointed to oversee the inquiry into the circumstances surrounding his death. A family liaison officer is assisting Mr. Haire’s family. Gardaí are appealing for public assistance, seeking information on Mr. Haire’s movements between July 17 and July 24. He is believed to have been in Dublin, Kilkenny, and Cork city centres during this period. Anyone with information is urged to contact Ronanstown Garda Station or the Garda Confidential Line.
