Man Sets Ex-Partner's Home Ablaze; Mother and Daughters Escape by Hiding in Bathroom

A shocking incident of domestic violence unfolded in Istanbul's Camiavlu neighborhood when an ex-partner allegedly set fire to a woman's home. The suspect reportedly arrived at the woman's residence carrying a bottle of gasoline, which he then ignited and threw into the house, according to initial reports.

The fire quickly spread, engulfing the structure. Fortunately, the woman and her two daughters managed to escape the inferno by barricading themselves in the bathroom. From their place of refuge, they contacted emergency services, alerting the 112 Emergency Call Center.

Firefighters, medical teams, and police were dispatched to the scene. While fire crews worked for approximately two hours to extinguish the flames, other teams facilitated the evacuation of the mother and her children. Miraculously, there were no fatalities or injuries reported in the incident, although the house was rendered uninhabitable.

The alleged perpetrator, the woman's ex-partner, was apprehended by police shortly after the incident. He has been taken into custody, and legal proceedings are underway as the investigation into the arson continues.
