Manchester United signs Youri Tielemans until 2031

Manchester United has secured the signing of Belgian international midfielder Youri Tielemans, who has agreed to a contract with the club through June 30, 2031. Tielemans arrives at Old Trafford from Aston Villa, marking a significant addition to manager Michael Carrick's squad as they prepare for Champions League competition.

Tielemans' move follows a successful tenure at Aston Villa, where he was a fan favorite and instrumental in their Europa League triumph. He notably scored a spectacular volley in the final, helping Unai Emery's team secure victory over Freiburg. Aston Villa expressed gratitude for his service, acknowledging his popularity and respected presence within the locker room.

During his time at Aston Villa, Tielemans played 134 matches, scoring ten goals. He also recently captained Belgium in the 2026 World Cup, earning 90 caps and scoring 15 goals for his national team.
