Mandeville businessman charged in dispute over Jaguar

A 36-year-old car dealer from Mandeville, identified as Anthony Ximines, faces charges of simple larceny following an alleged dispute over a Jaguar he sold. The Savanna-la-Mar police reported that Ximines is accused of repossessing the vehicle from a client's home without consent.

The incident reportedly occurred between July and August 2022, when a client purchased a 2017 red Jaguar from Ximines for $5.2 million. The client had paid $3.4 million, with a verbal agreement that Ximines would transfer the vehicle's title before the remaining $1.4 million was paid. However, in May 2026, Ximines allegedly used a spare key to drive the Jaguar away from the complainant's home.

When the complainant contacted Ximines, he was reportedly told that the outstanding balance of $1.4 million must be paid before the vehicle would be returned. The matter was then reported to the police. A targeted operation at Ximines' residence on Tuesday, August 11, led to his arrest. He was taken to the Savanna-la-Mar Police Station and subsequently charged. His court date is currently being finalized.
