Mandiri Taspen Sends Aid to Earthquake-Affected Residents in Ende

Earthquake-affected residents in Ende, East Nusa Tenggara, received 500 ready-to-eat meal packages and 127 blankets from Bank Mandiri Taspen.

The bank distributed the assistance through Mantap Peduli NTT to the Ende Regional Disaster Management Agency on Aug. 27. The handover took place at the Ende office of Indonesia’s National Disaster Management Agency and was witnessed by Ende Deputy Regent Dominikus Minggu Mere, the regional secretary, the head of the bank’s Ende branch office and other employees.

Tulus Parulian Hutabarat, the bank’s division head for corporate secretary and legal affairs, said the aid was intended to meet residents’ basic needs during the emergency period. The food packages will support daily consumption, while the blankets will help people who need emergency supplies.

We are distributing this assistance to help meet the needs of people affected by the earthquake, especially food and supplies for the emergency situation.

The bank said it would continue distributing aid in other disaster-affected areas. The next delivery was scheduled for Aug. 28 in Ruteng, in Manggarai Regency.

Tulus said the bank hoped the assistance would help affected residents get through the emergency response period and return to living safely and calmly.
