Manning Nice bus accident kills two in Masasi

Tragedy struck in Masasi District, Tanzania, on Saturday night when a Manning Nice bus was involved in a fatal accident. Two individuals, a 35-year-old man and a three-year-old child, lost their lives in the incident that occurred in Mandiwa Village.

The bus was traveling from Masasi to Dar es Salaam when it reportedly struck a pedestrian. Preliminary reports suggest the driver attempted to swerve to avoid the pedestrian, causing the bus to lose control and overturn. The pedestrian died at the scene due to severe injuries. The young child also died at the scene from multiple fractures.

Several other passengers sustained injuries and were transported by ambulance to St. Benedict Ndanda Referral Hospital for medical care. Local authorities, including the Masasi District Council, are continuing to gather information and assess the full circumstances surrounding the accident. Updates on the condition of the injured are expected from the hospital.
