Maribel Guardia comforts Aylín Mujica after son's death: 'No mother should say goodbye to a child'

Mexican actress Maribel Guardia has shared a message of profound empathy with Cuban host Aylín Mujica, who is grieving the recent death of her eldest son, Mauro. Both women have endured the tragic loss of a child at a young age, with Guardia having lost her only son, Julián, three years prior.

Mauro, aged 30, reportedly passed away in Barbados after being rushed to the hospital. Initial reports suggest he fell ill with pneumonia, experienced discomfort after exercising, and subsequently required urgent medical attention. Guardia, who experienced immense grief after her son Julián died of a heart attack at 27, conveyed that no mother should have to bury her child.

"Today I cry with you, dear Aylín Mujica. No mother should say goodbye to a child," Guardia stated in her message. "I know that love does not end when life changes form, because children live forever in the half of the heart they leave us when they go. May God embrace you, sustain you, and give you the strength needed to get through this immense pain. I am with you and I know that all mothers who have lost a child embrace and bless you from afar. And be sure that your beloved child is in the light, in the presence of God's infinite love."

Mujica, who was working on a cooking reality show in Colombia when she received the news, has expressed devastation. While she has not detailed the tragedy, she responded to messages of support and prayers on Instagram. The artistic community has extended condolences to the 51-year-old host, who is also mother to Alejandro and Violeta. Mauro Menéndez had been building a career as a DJ and music producer.
