Mayor Dances on Stage with Singer Amidst Festival and Controversy

The mayor of Širvintos, Živilė Pinskuvienė, was captured on video dancing energetically on stage with popular Lithuanian singer Kastytis Kerbedis during the town's recent festival. The clip, which appeared on TikTok, shows Pinskuvienė joining Kerbedis as he performed his hit song "Sustok, traukinį" (Stop, Train).

Prior to his performance, Kerbedis had shared a photo on social media featuring himself and the mayor, accompanied by a caption expressing his admiration: "With the most beautiful, beloved mayor of Širvintos." The singer's public display of affection suggests a warm rapport between the artist and the local official.

The Širvintos city festival, held on July 25, was a day-long event that attracted a significant lineup of performers, including Martynas Kavaliauskas, Paulina Paukštaitytė, Gabrielius Vagelis, and DJ Senjasa. Eimutis Kvosčiauskas served as the master of ceremonies, and the festivities concluded with a fireworks display late into the night.

This public appearance by the mayor occurs amidst ongoing scrutiny. Recently, reports emerged concerning Pinskuvienė's mother, Marija Gudonienė, a municipal council member, who allegedly purchased apartments in Palanga at a significantly reduced price. Inspections were conducted, and the State Inspectorate of Construction later identified violations at a property belonging to the Pinskams family. Questions have also been raised about the legality of construction permits and the amounts paid for land plots.
