Mayor Pinskuvienė and husband attend presidential reception in distinctive style

Lithuanian Mayor Živilė Pinskuvienė and her husband, J. Pinskus, attended a reception at the Presidential Palace, joining other distinguished guests for Statehood Day celebrations. Pinskuvienė chose to wear a traditional Lithuanian national costume, while her husband wore a classic dark suit, adhering to the event's dress code.

"Every woman dresses up when going to the presidential palace," Pinskuvienė remarked previously about preparing for such events. "We are frequent guests here, and as mayor, I represent my district at the presidential palace. It is gratifying that the president pays great attention to the districts and all municipalities. It was precisely his initiative that organized district forums," she added.

The reception, hosted by President Gitanas Nausėda and First Lady Diana Nausėdienė, is part of the events commemorating the Coronation of King Mindaugas and the Day of Song. The tradition, revived by President Nausėda, aims to gather and honor individuals who have made significant contributions to Lithuania's statehood and reputation across various fields.

Guests invited to the reception represent diverse sectors of Lithuanian society, including culture, arts, science, academia, business, government, diplomacy, media, religious communities, NGOs, and education. The event underscores the president's commitment to recognizing and celebrating the nation's achievers and their impact on strengthening Lithuania's identity and international standing.
