Dragons manager Yeh Chun-chang noted Mears' excellent control in his last two starts, making it difficult for opponents to hit effectively. While the team has already secured a playoff spot, the manager indicated that Mears would not be pushed for a complete game shutout in future starts, prioritizing injury prevention over additional records.
