The session focused on strengthening global coordination to foster peace, security, and development, addressing global challenges, and paving the way for future prosperity.

The Cabinet commended the participation of the Saudi delegation in the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Week, during which it stressed the Kingdom's commitment to close cooperation with international organizations to combat terrorism, eradicate its roots, cut off its funding sources, and support global efforts to build a secure and stable future.

The Cabinet emphasized the Kingdom's dedication to combating terrorism, underscoring its participation in the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Week. Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its commitment to close cooperation with international organizations to eradicate terrorism, disrupt its funding, and contribute to a secure global future. The government also welcomed the UN Human Rights Council's adoption of a Saudi-led resolution on women's empowerment in cybersecurity, building on Crown Prince Mohammed's global initiative.

The Cabinet welcomed the unanimous adoption by the UN Human Rights Council, at its 62nd session, of a Saudi-submitted resolution on women empowerment in cybersecurity.

Significant achievements in digital advancement were also highlighted. Saudi Arabia secured first place globally in the International Telecommunication Union's (ITU) ICT Development Index (IDI) 2026. This recognition reflects the nation's continuous development of its digital infrastructure and regulatory environment, solidifying its leadership in future technologies and artificial intelligence, and reinforcing its position as the largest digital economy market in the MENA region.

The Cabinet highlighted the Kingdom's achievement of first place globally in the International Telecommunication Union’s (ITU) ICT Development Index (IDI) 2026, issued by the ITU, saying it reflects the continuous development of its digital infrastructure and regulatory environment.

Further reinforcing its regional and international standing, Saudi Arabia was re-elected as chair of the Executive Council of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO) for a second consecutive term. The Cabinet also noted the World Bank's praise for the Kingdom's artificial intelligence experimental environment in education, known as the AI Sandbox, calling it a pioneering model for developing digital education and empowering institutions. The progress of the nonprofit sector was also acknowledged, noting its accelerated pace toward achieving development goals.

The Cabinet considered Saudi Arabia's re-election as chair of the Executive Council of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO) for a second consecutive term as an extension of the Kingdom's leading role in supporting the civil aviation sector at the regional and international levels.
