MEF clears 162 applicants for 2026/2027 university internships

Paraguay's Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) has announced that 162 of the 239 individuals who applied for its 2026/2027 University Internship Program have been deemed eligible to proceed to the evaluation stage. The ministry opened applications for the program from May 28 to June 7, and released the list of admitted and non-admitted candidates on Thursday.

The evaluation, scheduled for June 16 at 9:00 AM, will be conducted in person at the main hall of the Association of Treasury Ministry Officials in Lambaré. During this session, eligible candidates will undertake a knowledge test and psychometric evaluations using digital forms. Participants are required to bring a smartphone or notebook with internet access and must use the email address they provided during their application.

The knowledge test will cover specific legislation and internal regulations of the MEF, including Law No. 7158/2023 (establishing the ministry), Decree No. 1041/2024 (approving its organic structure), Resolution MEF No. 14/2024 (establishing organizational units), and Resolution MEF No. 142/2026 (updating the structure).

Additionally, the MEF reminded applicants that prohibited items during the evaluation include anti-spy screen protectors, smartwatches, and headphones. The ministry also noted that candidates who have not yet submitted their academic documentation can send it to pasantia@mef.gov.py by June 17, 2026. This deadline also applies to those who submitted unofficial reports instead of official certificates or university attestations issued in 2026.
