Men arrested after live-streaming gun on TikTok in Montevideo

A live TikTok broadcast showing a firearm led to the arrest of three men in Montevideo's Marconi neighborhood. Police identified the house from which the young men were streaming and launched an operation. The arrests occurred after a report was filed and drone footage captured the individuals leaving the residence and firing shots. The men, aged 29, 29, and 21, were apprehended, although the weapon displayed in the video was not recovered from the property. Authorities suspect it may have been removed from the premises. The broadcast took place at 9:00 AM on Wednesday. During the police operation, a drone was used to monitor the situation before the arrests. The individuals' clothing matched what they wore in the TikTok stream. The house also contained an eight-year-old child. This incident follows another shooting in the Marconi area on Tuesday, where a 39-year-old man was seriously injured. Another similar attack occurred in Flor de Maroñas.
