Mexican Navy Special Forces mark 25th anniversary with demonstration in Veracruz

Mexico's elite naval forces marked their 25th anniversary with a significant display of skill and readiness at the Heroic Naval Military School in Veracruz. The Special Forces and Amphibious Commandos demonstrated their advanced capabilities through a series of challenging activities.

Participants engaged in a rigorous competition that included a 300-meter swim, a 1,400-meter march carrying 20 kilograms of equipment and a weapon, simulated casualty transport, boat handling, and precision shooting. These exercises were designed to test their physical condition, discipline, determination, and response capacity, fostering camaraderie and group cohesion.

The commemoration also featured historical presentations on the evolution of the Special Forces and Commandos, emphasizing the importance of personnel and the quality of their training over the years. A tactical gallery showcased specialized equipment and materials. The event underscored the unique skills and preparedness of these units, trained to operate effectively in hostile, denied, or politically sensitive areas since their establishment in 2001.
