Mexico City Airport to offer Metrobús service between Terminals 1 and 2 starting August 1

Travelers navigating Mexico City International Airport (AICM) will soon benefit from a new, direct Metrobús service connecting its two main terminals. Starting Saturday, August 1, 2026, passengers will be able to move between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 without leaving the airport premises.

The new Metrobús route, dubbed Ruta Quetzalcóatl, will operate seven days a week, from 4:30 AM until midnight. Buses are scheduled to arrive approximately every 12 minutes, ensuring frequent service for travelers. The fare for this convenient connection will be 30 pesos.

Payment for the service will be flexible, accepting the Integrated Mobility Card, as well as national and international credit or debit cards. Additionally, passengers can use NFC-enabled devices such as smartphones and smartwatches for seamless transactions. Designated boarding and alighting zones will be clearly marked, with staff available to provide assistance and guidance.

It is important that in Terminal 2, users observe the signage on the units, identify the service, and distinguish it from the Quetzalcóatl Route heading to the Amajac station, to avoid setbacks.
