Mexico City Mayor Clara Brugada distributed aid for school uniforms and supplies to secondary students, emphasizing the administration's commitment to supporting families as the school year begins. Every girl, boy, and young person will receive 1,180 pesos today for the purchase of school supplies and uniforms," Brugada stated.

Speaking at the Magdalena Mixiuhca Sports City, the mayor announced that in just two weeks, over 90,000 secondary and preschool students have joined this support initiative. The program has a budget of up to 704 million pesos and aims to benefit approximately 700,000 students by 2026. Brugada highlighted the significance of these funds, especially in September when families face numerous back-to-school expenses. She stressed that a key objective is to prevent economic conditions from creating inequalities among students. "This support is a message to secondary school students. It is telling them: you are not alone, there is a government that supports you so that there are no inequalities in the classroom," she expressed.
