Mexico City mayor's office repaves Doctores neighborhood streets

The Cuauhtémoc mayor's office has completed the repaving of 3,657 square meters of asphalt on Doctor Arce street in the Doctores neighborhood, stretching from Eje Central Lázaro Cárdenas to Dr. José María Vértiz. Mayor Alessandra Rojo de la Vega highlighted the improved appearance of the street, stating, "We repaved another street here in Doctores, Doctor Arce, 3,700 square meters up to Vértiz. Just look how beautiful it turned out."

In addition to the asphalt work, the project encompassed road marking, lighting upgrades, and tree pruning. Rojo de la Vega emphasized the desire to see all streets in the demarcation in similar condition. She also pointed out the need for increased funding to maintain secondary roads, which fall under the purview of the mayor's offices.

"I hope they soon approve the initiative so that the mayor's offices can collect property taxes, even if it's just for secondary roads, because by law we have to maintain them. That way we would advance faster because of 'damn potholes'," she stated. The office plans to continue its street recovery efforts across all 33 neighborhoods within its jurisdiction.
