Sports unit and lighting upgraded in Ahualulco, San Luis Potosí

Ahualulco, San Luis Potosí, is seeing significant upgrades to its public infrastructure, with a focus on sports and lighting. The Municipal Sports Unit is being revitalized with an investment of 10.3 million pesos. This extensive renovation covers 55,684 square meters and will feature a new soccer and multipurpose field, updated restroom facilities, an outdoor gym, a children's playground, walking paths, and communal gathering areas. This project aims to enhance recreational opportunities for more than 5,000 local inhabitants.

Beyond sports facilities, the municipality is also benefiting from improved public lighting. A total of 500 LED luminaires, representing an investment of 1.2 million pesos, are being installed in various communities. This initiative is designed to increase illumination along roadways and in public spaces, reaching over 4,500 residents and enhancing safety and visibility.

During a working tour, Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona also oversaw the distribution of school supplies to elementary students and the delivery of 120 trailers for livestock producers in Ahualulco's communities. The event also marked the inauguration of a new roof for the sports unit, a municipal project costing 696,940 pesos, which includes a metal structure, roofing, and lighting system.
