Mexico City Prosecutors Arrest "El Glenda" Suspected of Multiple Homicides

Mexico City prosecutors have arrested Eduardo "N," identified by the alias "El Glenda," who is believed to be the leader of a criminal group responsible for violence in the eastern part of the capital, particularly in the Iztapalapa borough. The Attorney General's Office of the Capital (FGJ) states that "El Glenda" is implicated in various homicides and high-impact crimes. He is also accused of coordinating the activities of his criminal group in eastern Mexico City. The arrest occurred following an arrest warrant related to a homicide that took place on June 4, 2024, in the Rubén Jaramillo neighborhood of Iztapalapa. Reports indicate that "El Glenda" allegedly shot the victim in the street, causing death, and then fled on a motorcycle driven by an accomplice. After gathering sufficient evidence, a public prosecutor obtained an arrest warrant against Eduardo "N." The detainee was located in Ixtapaluca, State of Mexico, and subsequently transferred to Mexico City to face judicial proceedings. The court will determine his legal status.
