Michelin Stars Shine in Lithuania: Prices Stable at Some, Rising at Others

Lithuania's culinary scene shines as its Michelin-starred restaurants maintain their prestigious accolades, with two new establishments, Deep Roots and Red Brick, joining the ranks. The restaurants Džiaugsmas, Demo, and Nineteen18 have each retained their single Michelin star. Notably, Pas mus, which received a star last year, has closed and is no longer on the list. Additionally, eight restaurants have been recognized with the "Bib Gourmand" award for good value.

Analysis of prices at the one-star restaurant Džiaugsmas reveals a stable cost for many dishes compared to last year. A bowl of fermented vegetables remains 8 Euros, while a sea bass ceviche is priced at 24 Euros and beef tartare at 29 Euros. More substantial dishes like halibut are 42 Euros, and venison loin is 53 Euros. A shared beef ribs dish for two is 82 Euros. Desserts, such as dill ice cream or black chocolate sphere, are priced between 8 and 12 Euros, consistent with the previous year.

However, some establishments have seen price increases. At Nineteen18, the tasting menu now costs 115 Euros per person, a rise from 94 Euros last year. Drink pairings start at 80 Euros, meaning a dinner for two could reach 390 Euros with beverages. Demo does not publicly list its prices, but external sources suggest a tasting menu cost of 95-115 Euros per person last year, with drink pairings between 50-70 Euros.

The newly starred Deep Roots offers a 5-course menu for 75 Euros, a 7-course for 85 Euros, and a 10-course menu for 98 Euros. A special "Chef's Table" for 10 people is priced at 124 Euros.
