Michelle Bolsonaro records campaign video with Flávio Bolsonaro, says 'stone' placed on disagreements

Former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro announced that she has put past disagreements with her stepson, Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, behind them. The two met and recorded segments for Flávio's electoral program, marking their first joint appearance following reported friction.

"We put a stone on the disagreement. What family is perfect? We talked, we united for something much bigger. We recorded a lot," Michelle told reporters at Flávio's campaign headquarters in Brasília. She characterized their conversation as "normal" and stated she holds no resentment, though she declined to comment on her relationship with Jair Bolsonaro's other children.

Michelle indicated uncertainty about traveling across Brazil to support Flávio's candidacy but pledged her support through social media. She also clarified that she would not act as a spokesperson for Jair Bolsonaro, noting his current ineligibility to speak publicly. The reported disagreements between Michelle and Flávio stemmed from the formation of the Ceará state slate, where Michelle favored Priscila Costa for a Senate seat, but the PL party opted for Alcides Fernandes.

Michelle reaffirmed her opposition to the PL's alliance with Ciro Gomes for the Ceará governorship, calling it "visceral." She cited a lack of coherence, stating that her husband's ineligibility was partly due to actions by Gomes. She also denied returning to lead PL Mulher, the party's women's wing, describing it as a "new cycle." However, she expressed support for Celina Leão's candidacy for governor of the Federal District.
