Ministry of Women Supports Family of Murdered Pregnant Woman; Baby Critical

Panama's Ministry of Women is offering immediate psychological and social support to the family of a 29-year-old pregnant woman who died from violent injuries in Guarumal, Caimitillo. The victim's unborn baby remains in delicate condition at a hospital. Yaravis Almanza, a psychologist with the ministry, stated that an interdisciplinary team provided initial psychological aid to the victim's mother and close relatives. The ministry's support extends beyond the immediate aftermath, aiming to assist families through their grieving process. Almanza expressed hope for the baby's recovery, noting the tragic circumstances of its birth amidst violence. She also urged women facing danger to seek help and called upon society to promote peace and reject violence. The report also briefly mentions a separate violent incident where a man and woman were killed, leaving a four-month-old baby behind, with the ministry calling for a thorough investigation.
