Mitsubishi Launches New Xforce HEV, Produced Locally in Indonesia

PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) has officially launched the updated Mitsubishi Xforce SUV in Jakarta, introducing it with a Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) system for the first time in the Indonesian market. The launch event, held at Mal Kota Kasablanka, adopted the concept of an "Elevated Urban SUV."

Beyond its hybrid technology, the New Xforce boasts design updates, improved cabin comfort, and advanced safety and driving features. Atsushi Kurita, President Director of PT MMKSI, highlighted the New Xforce HEV as Mitsubishi Motors' first hybrid vehicle in Indonesia, expanding the company's electrification options. "The presence of this model further broadens mobility choices for customers while maintaining the trust, reliability, and driving performance that are hallmarks of Mitsubishi Motors," Kurita stated.

Strategically, the New Xforce HEV's production in Indonesia at PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Indonesia (MMKI) signifies a commitment to strengthening the country's position as a production and export hub for HEV vehicles, serving both domestic and global markets. This move underscores Indonesia's growing importance in the automotive industry.

Exterior enhancements include a frameless panoramic roof, a feature added in response to consumer feedback for a more spacious and brighter cabin. Inside, the New Xforce is equipped with new features such as a power driver seat, power tailgate, ambient lighting, dual-zone automatic air conditioning with Nanoe X technology, and, on specific variants, a Yamaha Premium Audio system. Mitsubishi has also refined the suspension system and rear seats, offering eight comfort settings to enhance the driving experience for daily use and long-distance travel.

The powertrain features Mitsubishi Motors' second-generation HEV system, engineered to deliver a quieter, more responsive, and efficient driving experience while retaining the characteristic SUV performance associated with Mitsubishi vehicles.
