Mold forces closure of Icelandic agency serving disabled children

The State Agency for Advisory and Analysis (RGR) in Iceland, responsible for ensuring children with severe developmental disabilities receive necessary diagnostics and support, will close its offices this week due to a significant mold issue. The closure may extend beyond the current week.

Sigurbjörg Fjölnisdóttir, the director of RGR, explained that an inspection revealed mold growth in the restrooms on the floor above the agency's offices and within a ventilation shaft connecting the floors. This discovery has led to serious concerns among the agency's leadership about the potential for the mold to spread throughout the building.
