Morawiecki: New Politician to Join Rozwój Plus; Considers Himself Pushed Out of PiS

Former Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has revealed that a new politician is set to join the Rozwój Plus association, with an announcement expected soon. Morawiecki confirmed he has held discussions with interested individuals, one of which has concluded successfully.

Morawiecki also addressed the recent decisions within the Law and Justice (PiS) party concerning members associated with Rozwój Plus. He noted that the PiS Political Committee did not immediately expel these members but referred their cases to a party disciplinary ombudsman. However, Morawiecki stated he considers Jarosław Kaczyński's earlier declaration of expelling "separatists" to be binding. He believes the decision to part ways was made earlier, particularly after their proposals were rejected, leading him to feel "pushed out."

Regarding specific political figures, Morawiecki commented on Grzegorz Lorek's decision to remain with PiS, stating he does not harbor resentment and prefers to focus on the future. He also discussed Daniel Obajtek, the former CEO of Orlen, who had initially expressed interest in collaborating with Rozwój Plus but later changed his mind. Morawiecki expressed that he does not know the exact reasons for Obajtek's change of heart, considering it a personal matter.
