Morocco Honors Professor Abdullah Saaf for Pioneering Public Policy Analysis

In a significant acknowledgment of academic and intellectual contributions, the Mediator of the Kingdom (Ombudsman) recently hosted a distinguished event honoring Professor Abdullah Saaf. The ceremony, held during a workshop focused on "Public Policy Analysis in the Context of Sustainable Development," celebrated Professor Saaf's pivotal role as a founder of public policy analysis studies within Moroccan academia.

The recognition by such a high-level governmental institution underscores the importance placed on rigorous policy analysis for national development. Professor Hassan Tarek, speaking at the event, lauded Professor Saaf's extensive influence, highlighting his mentorship of numerous foundational theses, his prolific scholarly output through books and articles, and his stewardship of the esteemed social sciences journal, "Abhath."

Professor Saaf's impact extends beyond individual scholarship. He has been instrumental in fostering collaborative research environments, most notably through the Center for Studies and Research in Social Sciences, which he directs. This center has become a beacon of intellectual production, guiding young researchers and consistently organizing academic activities and publications.
